Board service is at the heart of Brownstein’s community investment program. More than 70 percent of our attorneys and policy professionals serve on the boards of directors for nonprofit organizations in the communities where we live and work.
Attorneys and policy professionals of all levels are encouraged to engage with the community through board service, to the point that community involvement is included as one of the core competencies in our annual evaluation and advancement process.
Brownstein’s reach through nonprofit board service is broad, focused primarily on matching our attorneys with organizations and causes that are meaningful to them. Our impact is significant, with our employees providing thousands of hours of volunteer leadership for nonprofit organizations doing important work in our community.
