Bruce A. James, Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck CEO and managing partner, was honored by the Downtown Denver Partnership (Partnership) with the Volunteer Partner of the Year Award at its 54th Annual Meeting on July 7.
As one of three recipients of this year’s award, James was recognized for his service as co-chair of the Partnership’s Steering Committee of the 16th Street Mall Plan, which will shape the next 25 years of this historic Denver landmark. In this position, James plays an integral role in the infrastructure redevelopment, management parameters, outreach to local businesses and possible funding sources for the 16th Street Mall.
Volunteer Partners of the Year are selected on the basis of their civic leadership and contributions to both the Partnership and Downtown Denver.
Additionally, James was named 2009 – 2010 Chair of the Downtown Denver Incorporated Board, the group responsible for cultivating private sector leadership and developing and implementing programs to enhance Downtown Denver's business, cultural and residential environment. Bruce also serves on the board for the Partnership’s Management Group.
