Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Steven A. Amerikaner, a shareholder at the firm, has been inducted into the 2010 Santa Barbara Hillel Hall of Fame.
Amerikaner was honored with the Hillel Hall of Fame award for his leadership and support of the organization throughout the past several years. Since being involved in the organization, he has held the position of president and has played a significant role in shaping the Santa Barbara Hillel to what it is today. Along with Amerikaner, Selma Rubin will also be inducted into the 2010 Hall of Fame.
As a member of Brownstein’s real estate and natural resources groups, Amerikaner focuses on land use and environmental issues. He has more than 30 years experience representing property owners and businesses seeking development permits and other governmental approvals.
For each of the past ten years, the Santa Barbara Hillel has honored two members with induction into its Hall of Fame to honor significant leaders in the organization. The Santa Barbara Hillel is a group of Jewish students at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) and Santa Barbara City College and is part of a worldwide organization of Jewish college students who are looking to find and to connect with Jewish friends.
