Lise Carney Joins Brownstein's Intellectual Property Department

Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck is pleased to announce that Elizabeth “Lise” Carney, a highly respected and experienced technology transaction attorney, will join the firm’s Intellectual Property Department as a shareholder.

“Lise’s experience and talent will be a great addition to our technology transactions, cyber security and privacy groups,” said Mike Rounds, Brownstein’s Intellectual Property Department chair. “As we work to help clients develop, sell and license their technology, and protect important data, her work with Fortune 500 technology companies will add depth to our intellectual property team.”

Carney advises clients on commercializing proprietary technology and obtaining rights to use third party technology. She has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating cloud services agreements, software license and support agreements, data subscription agreements, equipment purchase and maintenance agreements, manufacturing and distribution agreements, as well as a wide variety of technology services agreements. Carney also counsel clients with business to consumer offerings including drafting website and mobile application terms of use and privacy policies.

Carney’s technology transactions practice includes work across a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, software as a service (SaaS), aerospace, consumer products, secure access solutions, healthcare, and energy.

Carney received her law degree from Yale Law School and a B.S. from Georgetown University.
