Dr. Randolph Treece is a registered patent agent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Since receiving his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from UCLA, Rande has been at the interface of chemistry, materials science, and solid-state physics, and has worked with multi-national companies, universities, and national laboratories on numerous and diverse projects. He has been recognized by his technical peers by being invited to speak at national meetings, participate in workshops, and has produced a total of more than 150 publications, patents, presentations, and awarded research programs.
Since being admitted to the U.S. Patent Bar, Rande's rare combination of highly technical skills and keen business development acumen has allowed him to develop patents for clients that protects their intellectual property and positions it for maximum value. With more than two decades of experience developing technology with government and commercial partners, he understands how to communicate with complex organizations to convert their ideas into inventions, and then into patents.
Prior to coming to Brownstein, he worked as a patent agent and technical specialist at firms in both Denver and Boulder, protecting intellectual property for domestic and foreign companies and focusing on the worldwide protection of intellectual property rights.
His business background includes experience as CEO, COO, Founder and Company Director in companies working in the fields of aerospace, energy, biomedical and environmental technologies.
