Political & Regulatory Law - Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck

Political and regulatory law demands a different skill set. While many practice areas are narrowly focused, top-tier political lawyers must have a deep and fully integrated understanding of many areas: delicate regulatory compliance plans, high-stakes investigations and hard-hitting enforcement actions and lawsuits. In addition to their legal skills, political lawyers must have a command of media relations, government relations and electoral strategy.

Brownstein’s Political and Regulatory Law Group includes seasoned attorneys and policy professionals who have served as legal counsel to presidential and congressional campaigns, attorneys for government agencies and elected officials, criminal attorneys in the U.S. Department of Justice, and political staffers and strategists. Our team offers exceptional legal skills—plus the political, media and strategic skills necessary to help clients successfully plan for and resolve complex problems.

We thrive on analyzing complex political problems with high stakes and intense media scrutiny. Our team has represented ballot measure campaigns, political consultants and vendors; political committees/Super PACs/527s; Federal, state, and local candidates; 501(c)(3), (4) and (6) organizations and politically active corporations. From political law compliance to constitutional and civil rights litigation to political law litigation, our team has extensive experience with federal, state and local matters.
